So, it’s been an awfully long break between sketches. I have been working on some new pieces, but I didn’t really like them enough to post them up. Think it’s time to move on to something more challenging, I keep receiving updates from Juxtapose of hyper-realistic images by fellow illustrators and it’s been inspirational, to say the least. 

Life has definitely been rather busy thus far, which explains part of the hiatus. I think I;ve just been in a bit of a funk, illustration wise. There’s also the small matter of awesome weather and summer days spent on the beach, which also resulted in the long absence. 

Met a couple of girlfriends the other day who’d asked why I’d stopped sketching.,,,So I’m back! This image was rendered in pastel on medium grain grey pastel paper and tweaked in photoshop with the awesome new Wacom bamboo tablet. 🙂
